Hello,

as promised, here is Messenger Plus! 2.21. It's main update is MSN Messenger 6.1 compatibility. Some other little things have been fixed (you can check the version history on msgplus.net).

Still seems not working with WM5...

I'm having an issue sort of. No matter what I do, I get the 2.00.0053 installation file. can someone rename their file to 2.01 or something and put it somewhere? Its odd that I get the same file over and over, even after clearing my cache, cookies, and deleting windows (not really.....).

The 2.21 version is not on the server. I figured that out after downloading 2.20.53 50 times. Info thanks to chrono.

i duno if this has been pointed out just yet.. but the file name for the update is still 220 not 221 ? whats with that..

yes that's the exact same version, it has always been labeled 2.21, only the filename was msgplus-220.exe so some people were confused

Even after clearing my cache 10 times, I kept on getting the same file. 2.20.53. That was last night though.

I tryed to get on Patchou's iste and still no luck, and same for my friend. The progress bar in IE will move slowly, than it will say the page is univailable, and stuff.

Also it's happening for mess.be for me and my friend also. We're botht on the same ISP. Here is what I get for mess.be

auto update, that might be good thing to have added on to msgplus program if possible...
and... it will not tell you to update msn messenger, because msn 6.1 is only a BETA version so far...

Plus! does have the Auto-Update feature, but it's disabled to avoid the site to go down.  (that's right, isn't it, Patchou?)

Well, I wasn't lying when I said that Messenger Plus have updated itself automatically earlier. It has. I just wondered why this automatical update have stopped, but Choli answered that question (kind of).

actually, thanks to my sponsor's servers, the auto-update is back since last july. You just never noticed it because it checks for update every weeks and you always update Messenger Plus! the day I release new versions .

Also, if you installed Messenger 6.1 before you instsalled Plus! 2.21, you'll never get an auto-update notification... this was caused by a bug in the software that is now solved, so no new version of Messenger should prevent the auto-update to do its job (at least, as long as you see a Plus! menu in your contact list window).

Another option is to program "something" that goes through every logged on user which uses Messenger Plus! and send the file to one (or maybe ten) person at a time, and not to 100.000.000 persons at the same time.

I'm not sure how easy it is to program something like this, though, as I haven't got a clue as to what information Patchou has access to.

I know that this is a great program but how do I get MSN6.1??
