Hello,

the wait is finally over... Messenger Plus!, the most popular MSN Messenger add-on on the planet, has finally be updated. Tons of new features and improvements are waiting for you in this new release. If you checked out the preview posted two weeks ago on this site, you already know what to expect but a lot more is actually available so prepare to be surprised! I won't write more about the new version here, For a detailed list of changes and improvements, you can check the version history section of this site but I'm sure that all the fan sites out there will be glad to brief you about the new stuff available in Messenger Plus! 2.50. I'll personally be waiting for your comments on the forum, but before you can talk about the new features, you first have to download the new version .

you should post this on Help and Support... try to disable Custom Names...:

Im glad you all like the new version, I hope comments like that will continue to flow. Well, it's 3:20am here and I already released a small patch so I suggest anyone who downloaded the new version in the past 3 hours to download the new one (build 66). It's no big deal updates but some people were complaining about some stuff .

I can't get it, because my ISP are a bunch of F*ck ups that can't get shit right. I'm calling them f*cks tomorrow and letting them have a piece of my mind, because I'm getting sick of how I can't access normal webpages at times or not even at all. Can someone post a link here from Patchou's site, please? I don't like mirror sites, and stuff. Call me paranoid, but I feel better having it from the main site.

the monkey island game is a game :undecided:

but Patchou inserted a little game where you can insult your friends and they can insult you back (just for fun

) but we didn't know the command to play it, it was "hidden" so we had to find it and we did ( /insult ). An easter egg is a little thing added by the creator(s) of the program that the users have to find (like this insult-game

I just found a little bug, I have 2 screens and when I try to move the Main Window from one screen to the other i have some difficulties (window blockage and size changes)

bein je ne crois pas que le problem soit a cause de Messenger Plus! mais du meme MSN Messenger 6... je suis pas sur....

well i think Plus! has nothing to do with this, but maybe MSN Messenger 6 itself.... :-/

First, english only please -- that's what the rules say. Next time try to provide a translation (even if it's not very good) so that non-french speakers can get an idea of what you wanted to say.

Second, bugs should not be reported here, but in the bugs forum.

Third, i think I understood what you said, you have two screens and when you move the Messenger window from one monitor to another it snaps in the borders of each monitor and make it difficult to move.
I don't think this is a great problem as that is exactly what it is supposed to do, and I'm not sure if there's a way to avoid that, but lets see what Sir Patate tells us :wink:

Well, actually, it is a Msgplus' issue. He is talking about the new snap to border feature that adapts the MSN Messenger window to one side of the desktop.

I'm loving the new Plus but you forgot to add the little fix I asked for - to stop Plus deleting my {} suffixes if I made them in online mode (i.e. manually) when I sign in and out. I trust it'll be on there next time

Yes, but it doesnt have user mirrors, it just has all the mirrors Simtel is paid to have around the globe: they are their mirrors, its not a mirror page.

You have to change a setting in the registry. That setting is ResetNameTag. See http://www.msgplus.net/?view=help_registry . If you want to do things easier, use a tweaker. Mine supports that feature. See my sig.

I downloaded this in the morning, but had to leave after seeing it for about 20 min.

Now that I've fully gone through it, I must say it's the best version of Plus! ever.

Well actually it is an big annoyance when you have two screens. Everything works well on first screen (moving and docking, docking and moving). But when you go to the second screen near the edge, the window will be stuck on the edge, no matter where you move. Work around to this is: A) disable the docking feature, or B) press mouskey and move you're window around in the second screen so it is NOT docked, then move VERY FAST to your first screen again and you will have the main window back on the first monitor.... sound strange, I know... but it is like it is

Bummer I can't make a video-shot of it :-)

I use it at times, because some of my friends won't use MSN Messenger no matter what I say to them. Plus it's handy for the offline messaging.

There is already an auto-update feature in Plus!. It was improved in version 2.21.57, which was the latest version before 2.50 was released. It checks for updates every one week, I believe.

So people who use 2.21.57 are bound to get an auto-update notification sooner or later.

you have to create it. it's a dword. If you do not want to change the registry yourself you can use my tweaker (see my sig)
