MSN Messenger 6.1 has been silently updated from version 6.1.0155 to version 6.1.0202
Description:
MSN Messenger lets you see when your friends are online and exchange instant messages with them. Send instant messages with cool, new emoticons, call anywhere in the world from your computer, see when someone's typing, page a contact's mobile phone, send pictures and music to your friends, and much more. You can also use this free program to make phone calls, send a message to a pager, trade pictures and music with your friends, and much more.
MSN Premium/Plus are both due to launch next month alongside a new MSN Hotmail, improved for spam and email organisation. MSN Premium is expected to ship with MSN Messenger 6.1. Plans for any 6.x updates are unknown at the moment and 7.0 is being developed internally.

There are no visual differences, and of course, no changelog from Microsoft, so its another case of update because you ought to keep up to date

I would update.. but i really cant be botherd to. There going to keep updating anyways so, i think ill wait until there is some dramatic change to it. But in all fareness im glad they have made an upgrade.

blah, patches and skins don't work, how ghey.
Windows X has taken over my MSN Messenger installer..and pops up each time I try to install MSN Messenger, though it can be bypassed, its freaking annoying.

lol, in Internet Explorer
go to Tools >> Internet Options and press Delete Files.
then redownload the MSN Messenger 6.1.0202 installer and install

Another thing I've noticed. I can use Jnrz7s loader and open 6.1.0155 while having 6.1.0202 installed.

I had it in 6.0
I don't find it annoying. Say if I have chat windows open, and I hit "exit" by mistake it warns me so I click cancel.

Darknight, does the Jnrz7s loader (non-gui) work with 6.1.0202? You say it loads 6.1.0155? Is it still installed then on your pc?

I used the Jnrz 6.1.0155 GUI loader while having 6.1.0202 installed. In other version of 6.x trying to load an older version any way would bring you to an error message saying the configuration is incorrect, and to reinstall it. Now I can have 6.1.0155 running beside 6.1.0202 I find it odd but I like it.
Edit: I copied the 6.1.0202 files to a different dir, then uninstalled it, and reinstalled 6.1.0155
And when I went to open the 6.1.0202 it opened.

its a freaking pain in the ass haveing to port my msn messenger skin to the next version every month or so. not fun. so i prob wont botha this time..

otherwise I think someone has made such a program to move all the files in a bunch which is a lot quicker, but that wont make skinning quicker in retrospect, it will make porting quicker though.
