With permission of Patchou, I've been able to release a teaser video of MP2 running on my computer (under 4.7 in XP). Right now I'm currently recording it, and it probably wont be out till tomorrow, cuz i was told i'd be killed if i left patchou's email in... so I have to go frame by frame and blur out Patchou's email.... :)

No I won't releae MP2 before it works fine with Messenger 5 but this video won't be a fake... anyway, this is only an alpha version, the final version could be very different (and will be much better looking, I hope).

Okay Video is COMPLETE! But i need a place to host it! it weighs in at about 22.4 MB! (Ripped in DivX)

If I don't find a place to host it.. i guess you guys wont get to see it... ;)

Remember:
You need some application (WinZip) to extract the .avi
AND you will need an divx 5 decoder to view the .avi ( http://doom9.org/Soft21/Players/DivX502Bundle.exe is a adware/spyware free version.)

I only have 5 gigabytes of datatransfer per month, so i'll be able to host only about 220 downloads, so be fast!

Why would MS release MSN 5 for XP and Windows Messenger 5 For XP? they'll be exactly the same thing, and all the old features of 4.7 are in MSN 5 anyway.

Windows Messenger will probably be updated by some business messenger or eventually not updated again.

By the way.... I didn't intend to make any jealous... don't worry, the official alpha version will be released soon. Here is what I have to do before:

  • Complete the Personalized Away feature
  • Add the multi color/format feature for messages
  • Put back the / me command
  • Correct the bugs Sholin found :p

The last two things that will have to be done before a public beta are logging and scripting. I'll also have to do an installer, an uninstaller, an auto-update feature etc... I just hope that the release will contain a sufficient amount of new things so that everybody can be happy with it.
