Bug in order of threads? by CookieRevised on 02-17-2004 at 04:03 AM

When this thread was moved, it showed up into the forum page above a sticky thread... Also note that the "views" and "replies" are empty. (it had many views before and even after I view it again, if I do a refresh on that forum page, the views stay empty)

It's just a normal redirect to a moved thread, but a mod must have made it sticky by accident. Sticky threads come first.

Edit: Yeah, Muss stuck the thread before moving it... probably clicked the wrong thing... I've done that before. :p

I already fixed this little problem for the upgrade. Redirects won't be sticky, even if the original thread is.

ic...

well I hope you don't have to undo the "fix" because of some important thread should be sticky but is in the wrong forum....

what do u mean?
cause he said that the redirects wont be sticky (ie, the 'Moved: blah blah' link...) not the original thread itself... :undecided:

"Redirects won't be sticky, even if the original thread is."
So what if:

1) You create an important thread that you stick...
2) Some people reply etc...
3) You realize you made it in the wrong forum...
4) You move it to the right forum...
5) thread can't be sticky anymore...
(6: create a new thread? maybe, but you'll loose the replies...)

EDIT: blah... I confused a thread with a redirect... So in the above example it means you HAVE to create a new thread, no?

If you move a sticky thread, it stays sticky. The redirect to it will not be sticky though. :-/

Yip, clicked the wrong thing, they are right next to each other (well on top/below each other :P)

Didn't realise it did that though :/
