There is no public beta that I have ever seen, but I believe the final release is very close, so you shouldn't have too long to wait.

You can already go to http://messenger.msn-int.com/Download/default.aspx(I thought you couldn't go there before), but if you click the download button you get "Unauthorized".

There is a date on a page from Microsoft that says a date, Last time with msn messenger 6.0 this date was indeed the release date, so the conclusion could be that this date again the release date is.

Hmmm... not all languages are restricted to download at msn-int.com, you can download the Dutch version. But the file still contains 6.1.

I dont know why I dont post more....I guess I should but anyway I managed to get a beta of msn 6.2 (a guy on my msn list is a MCE and all MCE's get to test it) If you dont know why MCE stands for its Microsoft certified engeneer. So ya msn 6.2 is looking pretty much the same as 6.1 to me.....could change in the final version though.....

... where is it... IF it is released today at something like 3 pm in America... I am in England... 5 hrs time difference! It won't come out until 8 pm our time... I won't get any time to test it today as my parents ALWAYS need the internet and I have swimming top notch lessons...

thats the "internal" (interior?) site thats why you cant get it, its for testers etc only... just wait for the main msn page (http://messenger.msn.com) to update
EDIT: USA is 5 hours behind me so it could be that if its released on the 22nd (today) it might be midday or so for USA, which is in about 2 and a half hours, so just wait and stop complaining that the int site wont let you get it

If you type the code for an emoticon it's being showed immediatly, before you send it

Also it will be really cool if they could make a patch of 6.2 with the X edition i liked the skins very much and now i have to come back again to the normal msn!! . I want X edition for 6.2
