I don't know what DS entry's are / what you mean with DS entry's

you need a complete domain name like .com/.net etc, or just something like ***.domain.com.

If you're looking for the second you can use www.no-ip.org. It also has a free package. (Don't know if it's good, someone told me about it)

No-IP.com is a leading dynamic DNS service provider. We offer a wide range of services pertaining to your internet presence, from that pesky dynamic IP problem to getting around ISPs who block port 25. All of our services take advantage of our global network of redundant DNS and mail servers peered with tier-1 data centers.

No-ip is brilliant, if you're running the site on your own system and have a dynamic ip then they have a thing to make sure it always points to your ip. (A dynamic update client). If itz from someone say geocities (for example geocities.com/example, then you can jus enter that instead of an ip.)

I use no-ip

Go with GoDaddy.com. You can register your own top level domain and fully manage your own DNS etc. NoIP is only good for non-static IP addresses.

If you're registering .co.uk names I recommend http://www.ukreg.com which does those for about £3 a year.  They also do .coms and stuff for £10 a year i think

Any specific ones? (.com, .biz, .org .ca, .co.uk, etc.) lol
Any problems with a data transfer limit?

Indeed, just $8.95 per year and excellent service.
