MSN closes on sign in by rerat on 05-10-2004 at 08:39 PM

When I open MSN messenger, it signs in..but when it signs in, an ERROR MESSAGE pops up, and msn closes, I have to open MSN a few times ...sometimes many times... for it to actually work.:@

on a less immportant note...it seems when Imake away messages, and become un-away, the messages keep sending themselves to my contacts.
anyways...help would be greatly appreciated

Is your Operating System up-to-date, and did you download the right version of MSN from the website?

You might want to uninstall any add-in/extra (including plus!) and install MSN Messenger again. A fresh clean version, see if it still appears.

Even after you change your status back to "Online"?

The thing is, I've already suggested what could possibly fix the problem when rerat was in #msgplus >.<.

this might sound odd but i had the same problem and it turned out to be my graphics drivers.

they were making msn close if any window opened on my pc without direct input. for example if someone spoke to me or a toast screen.

check your drivers are up to date and also click the send error report, then follow it to the microsoft website which will give you details of what is wrong if you look hard enough

see my error bye seacrhing for "now this is getting annoying" thread.  or click here
