Would have to be either Windows 3.11 or windows for workgroups (ver 1.12)

I've used 3.0 for a month then 3.1 for about 2 years...What was a shame was that you could load more programs on DOS...and Windows was then just a bolt-on and you knew that underneath that graphical interface there was poor old DOS doing all the digital dirty work!

windows 3.1, however the oldest operating system ive ever used is Workbench for the Amiga 500

I remember that...it was good for the time...despite being text based you could click stuff manage your files and most importantly load Windows 3.1...a lot easier than the DOS Command Prompt style interface...

for normal work, the oldest has been win 95, however I've used win 3.11 and even msdos 3.0 (or was it 2.x? i don't remember)

RE: what is the oldest windows u have opperated by Vazza on 05-23-2004 at 04:01 PM

The oldest I've ever used was Windows for workgroups 3.11.
* Vazza reminises *-):)
Thoses were the days when there really were no problems installing anything. Then of course there was Kidspace.....Still have the floppy disks somewhere.....

Windows 95 is my oldest. Windows 3.1 doesn't look as primitive as I imagined. The Windows 1.1 is, however. :)
