:o 50% that's too much untranslated text. If that's true, Patchou, the creator of Plus, should remove the translation. However, dear panos78, if you're interested in the greek translation, you can help the (lazzy) team of greek translators. If they don't reply, you can even do your own (good) translation into greek and become a translator. That would be very good apreciated. :)

Mike, there is no need to post pics, just select the language in your Messenger Plus! and see for yourself...

panos78, indeed, but most parts (I say most, because there are still some not translated) are in fact translated. But the big error that the translators made is that they left big chunks of the English language in their translation-file. And because the English chunks come before the Greek chunks in the file, the English ones are read out and the Greek ones are ignored...

Example:
[SomeTopic]
ButtonLabel=This is the original English line
[SomeTopic]
ButtonLabel=Dit is de verteelde versie

The translated version of ButtonLabel isn't read out because the original is still there and comes first, and thus is read out instead of the translated one....

I left a message in my overview-thread about the translations because of this:

For Mike2:
I don't need to upload any pics because you can check it very easily on your own.
Thelo na xrisomopoio ta ellinika akoma kai an ksero ta agglika arketa kala.:) Tin eikona pou exeis deiksei tin exo dei kai to sigkekrimeno thema einai sinexeia ekeinou.

For Choli:
The percentage was just an estimation. No matter what, there are too many strings that are not translated.
I don't have a problem being a translator for greek. What should I do to join the team?
Thanks for the

ok and good luck with it, but first of all, please read this:
http://files.msgplus.net/data/TranslationGuidelines.doc
you also have to take a look at this thread:
http://shoutbox.menthix.net/showthread.php?tid=25594
read and understand this:

and finally you nay want to use the translator program that will help a lot with your translation. You'll find it here: http://shoutbox.menthix.net/showthread.php?tid=11880
RE: Greek in Plus! 3 by panos78 on 05-25-2004 at 11:03 AM

I just checked the lang_greek.ini file and I haven't found any as the example you wrote:
Example:
[SomeTopic]
ButtonLabel=This is the original English line
[SomeTopic]
ButtonLabel=Dit is de verteelde versie

Can you tell me where did you find such strings?
Thanks

RE: Greek in Plus! 3 by CookieRevised on 05-25-2004 at 05:20 PM

This is the current Greek language file stripped from all the English parts...
(maybe you can use this as a base to start your corrections ;))

RE: Greek in Plus! 3 by panos78 on 05-25-2004 at 07:50 PM

Sorry for the inconvience!!:$
Here is the correction in a text file zipped:
Thanks CookieReviesed for the Stripped file.

RE: Greek in Plus! 3 by Patchou on 05-27-2004 at 01:34 AM

Thank your for reporting. The greek translation will be removed. When you'll have completed your update and do some tests, please create a new thread with your file so that it can be reviewed by others (check out the translation guidelines document at http://files.msgplus.net/data/TranslationGuidelines.doc).

Thanks! :)
