MSN Idle Status Change by kop48 on 05-30-2004 at 07:47 AM

I'm pretty sure that in the previous versions of MSN Plus!, this bug had been fixed. Anyway here goes. With the new Plus! (Version 3), the auto-away feature activates itself even if you've set your own personalised status. I recall previous versions had fixed this, so maybe I've missed an option somewhere, but so far - no luck.

Turn auto away off in MSN messenger itself: Tools > options > personal > uncheck "show me as away when I'm inactive for .. mins"

lol I know where to turn it on and off. I actually WANT the feature, but only when I haven't already specified anothe personalised away message.

Why not turn it off when u choose a personalized away? U can always turn it on when u don't ;)

The auto away (idle) feature is a MSN Messenger function and can not be changed by plus (doing so would be illegal).

use this:

HKCU\Software\Patchou\MsgPlus2\your@email.com\Preferences
AutoAwayAlways
dword
1

Boolean value. If false (0), the "change status after x minutes" feature changes the status only when the user is currently Online or Idle.

;)

wouldn't that be msgplus 2?

nope,

the settings for msgplus3 are apparently saved in
HKCU\Software\Patchou\MsgPlus2\your@email.com\Preferences
