Sound when user logs on/off by bcdg on 06-01-2004 at 07:54 PM

hi Patchou,
I recently installed MSN Messenger 6.20.133 and Msnplus 3.0092 on WinXP Pro SP1 and when I associate a sound (wav) with a user login/logout the wav file plays in its entirety instead of the default 12 seconds.
Is there a way to change this I tried to edit the registry and changing the default sound length to 10 seconds but it still plays the full wav file instead of just 10 seconds.
I am using the default MPEG1 codec.

Thanks,
Bruno

First its Msg. Plus! no MSN Plus, thats something diffrent ;)

Second, You can change it (like i have :D) using Choli's Plus! Tweak!

Third, Welcome to the forums (Y)

I downloaded msgplustweak.exe 1.221
then I ran it.
Restarted my pc (just to make sure)
Logged on again and it still does the same thing :(

All seems right. If you change the ContactSoundMaxTime setting, it should work. If it doesn't, then it's a bug in plus, i think. Does that happen if you use MP3s instead of WAVs?

No it does not happen when I use MP3 or midi sounds.
