RE: 2 gigs of email space by The Napster on 06-06-2004 at 09:47 AM

Cool, but i would never fill even 1 gig.
Rather have 2 gig atachment though :P

RE: 2 gigs of email space by paperless on 06-06-2004 at 10:27 AM

Rea the last line of the terms of service:
"Aventure Media reserve the right to terminate any account without reason."
It means u can't keep important ifo tehre coz it can end at any moment its very..strange to have an email like that that u think it can end at any momment. :/

I signed up my email is: paperless@aventuremail.com :P
Send me some huge things. :D

RE: 2 gigs of email space by s7a5 on 06-06-2004 at 07:03 PM

huge things doesnt seem to work yet at least for me
i think in few days it will be 100% functional

RE: 2 gigs of email space by weirdal27 on 06-06-2004 at 07:09 PM

ive been using it since the day it launched (i got the names "cody" and "weirdal") and i gotta say it really sucks :p
maybe its just the interface or something but I just hate it

I got a friend with a domain and he gives me 25mb of email space, plus i got a gmail account, but i figured i might as well sign up for this so i can get a good name in case i ever use it in the future ;)

RE: 2 gigs of email space by RebelSean on 06-06-2004 at 08:21 PM

Look at the calendar there its a thing saying day 7 they are going to fix everything
This is what says there : "By this date we hope to have a stable service after upgrades/initial bug reports."
RE: 2 gigs of email space by leito on 06-07-2004 at 01:10 AM

They are not accepting new registrants.. that's too bad I want my 2 Gigs account!!

RE: 2 gigs of email space by Guido on 06-07-2004 at 01:46 AM

A generic web-mail software like Hivemail can't handle that kind of massive service. At least I don't think it will. We'll see.

Aventure Media?? The XMB people? Hahahahaha... :refuck:

RE: 2 gigs of email space by wj on 06-07-2004 at 07:07 AM

ok, I'll just say this.

Aventure media is a shitty company in general. Avoid at all costs. They run XMB and they've just drivin it into the ground.

RE: 2 gigs of email space by surfichris on 06-07-2004 at 07:16 AM

LMAO! I find this whole thing a joke!

Richard and 'AventureMedia' do not have the resources to run a service like this. The way people can run it is that people will never use the full 2gb and emails are capped to a certain size. I wouldnt be surprised if emails begin to go missing and accounts begin to not work either.

They wrecked XMB good :'(

Oh, it can.

Stay tuned for a new email service opening up soon though! One that promises true 2gb email, not 2000mb which is NOT 2gb :)

RE: 2 gigs of email space by Concord Dawn on 06-07-2004 at 09:03 PM

XMB? What does that stand for? Extended Mega Bites? And I don't think that they will be able to stand up for more than a few years.

It's a crappy forum software owned by aventure media. Some of the DevBB/MyBB developers were involved in the XMB project a long time ago. <-- My crappy short explanation that is not guaranteed to be accurate or informative. :refuck:
