I signed up and yes, it is 1tb, but the website takes extremely long to load for me.

You're right Blade, TB means 1,000,000,000,000 Bytes.

That's why I prefer calling it 1TiB (Tebibytes) => 1024 GiB (Gibibytes) => 2^20 MiB => 2^30 KiB => 2^40 bytes => 1,099,511,627,776 bytes.

But we've got used to call 1024 Bytes Kilobyte and 1000 meters kilometer. :-/

yep Tera = 2^40 Peta = 2^50
On a more serious note i think they assume that no-one is going to use the full Terabyte hence they are willing to offer it to make it sound good... otherwise i would be expecting them to go bankrupt very very soon....
Also do they allow pop access to mail or is it only webmail

it's 976.56 GB exactly.

i haven't got any junk mail yet !!! but saying that i haven't got an email i sent to it yesterday. i sent 2 messages to it from my hotmail. got one about 1 1/2 after sending, still waiting for the other to come

I didn't get my first message I sent from my hotmail either, but everything else has come. I've also sent some mp3s through it, uploading seems fast and easy.
