imo, 3dsmax is one of the best 3d modelling/amination software if it isn't the best. It's used in most games to design the characters and their movements.

3dsmax rhyno or maya are the high end ones (expensive.. like $7000 for maya)

I got a Carrara Studio 1.1 (Free with a Magazine). It is a 3D Modelling, Animation & Rendering Tool.
Since it's free I figured you'd like it, lol. Neways, it was on Computer Shopper June 2004 issue (at least the DVD edition. British Magazine btw.
