i don't know if it's posible
but it sounds kinda cool when you could play
like pre-recorded webcamsessions or clips
just to fool your friends:D
can it be done with a program or something?

i see where your going with this, but it will lag too much...  involves changing ports and stuff.  very hard, but maybe a good plug-in designer or patchou himself can do it.

my camera has tv in > tv out so i can just play it through there.
Or i can just record it to the tape and replay it from there i guess

Some kind of plug-in like this would be nice >_> sometimes I have, for example, a 200 MB trailer and my friends' internet connections are much slower so they can't really download it....so I want to stream it to them...

I don't think a Plugin would do it, a seperate program would be needed like a .exe or something

Virtual cam will allow you to play a movie, video file or live capture (even just a picture) as if it was a webcam, you will find it at the above url.

From there site:

VirtualCamera is a virtual software camera that can be installed on Windows 98 ME 2000 and XP. It needs no hardware. It can use your former medias, including pictures, video clips etc. as its sources, and let your application use it as a real camera.

Most popular IM software such as MSN Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, PalTalk, etc. support real time video chat. But if you have no camera, you will lose some interesting things. So you need the VirtualCamera.

If you already have a web cam, you can use VirtualCamera too. VirtualCamera can easily switch its input to your real camera and easily switch it out. Sometimes when you want share some pictures with your net friends or you want to play your movies to them, you can use VirtualCamera.

This was discussed many times before on this forum. Search it, as there are very detailed and extensive threads about it.

RE: Play movies in webcamwindow by marissa on 06-18-2004 at 05:24 AM
