its horrible...! its been almost 5 days since my msn messenger is not signing in..! it just says "" there was a problem connecting to msn messenger.click trouble shoot for help with this problem"" "" error code:0x81000306..

i am having this problem since i updated to msn messenger 6.2 and msgplus 3....... and when it signs in sometimes.......i have half of my contacts deleted......and some new unknown contacts.........and more of all it stays logged in for 1 min!

as far as i know...all my other messengers are working fine except msn....and my internet line is perfectly allrite....!

i am using........OS: windows ME
                      messenger: msn messenger 6.2.0137 with the latest messenger plus.

cum on guts plz giv me suggestions......plz!!

My Regular Msn Messenger wasnt letting me sign in for some odd reason but then when i tried with amsn it signed me in just fine. that was only tonight but it says there havin problems so mabey thats why. hope you get it worked out

HEY THAX CHLOE........but its not helping!!.........i have 4 hotmail accounts....n all of them is giving the same error message!

the error 0x81000306 means "The logon attempt timed out after 15 seconds."....

In other words there is something wrong with your connection to the msn-servers...

Have you tried to completely uninstall MSN Messenger, redownload, end reinstall a fresh copy (without any patches, skins, addon, etc..)?

Have you tried to kill any other application that you have running in the background?

Also, refer to http://shoutbox.menthix.net/showthread.php?tid=20295
and check the checklist (also note the added points in my post there). Do this very carefully and point-by-point. This means, reboot after each tried point...

yes i have tried it.........i downloaded it again......n installed it........but no help........n more of all.....its not only me who is suffering from this problem........sum of my frnds are also having the same probs....

The things in my previous post is all I can suggest.

Try Windows Messenger, if u dont have it, install it back.

The status page still shows that the .NET Messenger Service is temporarily experiencing difficulty, and that you may be unable to sign in.

Just wait until this is resolved? There's a good chance there's nothing you can do.
