[bug] attachment and/or noparse by CookieRevised on 07-23-2004 at 05:24 PM

when you make a post with an attachment and you type:

[noparse][attchment][/noparse]

the [attchment] is still replaced with the attachmentlink....

PS: the use you might ask? see http://shoutbox.menthix.net/showthread.php?tid=28...d=281659#pid281659 :p

the [attachment], [thread] and [post] tags are replaced before doing anything else when parsing posts, and the result of that parsing is stored in the db, rather than the tags theirselves. That's why the [noparse] tag can't handle them.

A similar thing happens with /me and /slap commands, however they are stored in the db.

//edit// What are [ thread ] and [ post ] supposed to do? :-/
             They weren't replaced above... :dodgy:

Guido: You can also use the [post=281865] syntax. The same for [thread] :gfdrin:

Thought so :dodgy:, I remember when we asked for them :P

But as you used them without anything, [thread] and [post], I wondered what did you mean.

Thanks :D

:huh: ^o)

I used them without anything to refer to them, it was the same as if i say: the [quote] tag is used for bla bla bla...

It's a well-known fact that [noparse] is not perfect, and I never said it was. :p

Limitations :banana:
