Using IRC a lot, I've got used to seeing timestamps of when people have last spoken, useful for when you've been away and come back to a PM and you want to know what time someone asked.  It would be great if someone could transfer this to MSN with a plugin if some sort, so I hope someone does it.

Edit2: Hmm, it seems like a useful utility, but I don't llike the way timestamps are displayed .  Instead of being next to the contact's text it should be by their nickname.  If someone made a plugin that did this I would be very grateful .

but the only timestamp options are
Timestamp Messages
- Set prefix
- Set suffix
- Set stamp color (for Messenger Plus! users)
- Set position in messages (beginning or end of message)
- Datestamp

i agree time stamps are useful but i dnt really like them if i wanan knwo the time there sent ill look at the chat logs or my clock i dnt reallyl iek it

I was already thinking about giving that a shot but I don't know how to start... I'm not really good in C or in C++ yet and I am kinda learning it by doing it... Just found a copy of VC++ somewhere and started messing with it. I can do some simple stuff with the msgplus! API but it's way over my head to create some way for timestamps...

Timestamps for StuffPlug NG are done, maybe if we nudge and bug TB some more he'll make MSN more IRC-like

Well, now we have timestamps for spng (yay!) but there's one problem.  When using custom names, instead of the person's display name when talking you get their email address.  I remeber msg plus had this problem too at some stage which was fixed, so maybe you need to take the same steps Patchou took to sort it.

I got the same problem with plus 3.01 and stuffplug... now with 3.20 it seems to be solved but i'm not sure (not tested yet)

I'm still getting the email address instead of the custom names in the chat window :/ Any news of a fix?

New plus! public beta and new SPNG for new plus! give it a try

Still doesn't work :/ My name comes up alright, but all my contacts names come up as their email addresses (in conversation windows).

*edit* Ok, I've now download Messenger 7, and it still displays email addresses when I allow timestamps. I've even removed SPNG and redeownloaded it. Is it just me??
