Now THIS is the weirdest thing ever... well not really... not at all... but weird none the less... RE: FireFox doesn't stop pop-ups!!! by Menthix on 08-09-2004 at 12:40 PM That's strange, won't know a real solution for it. What you could try is un-install your current Firefox, then get the latest one and install it again. Mozilla highly recommends to un--install first before upgrading in general, maybe you forgot to do that during your last upgrade? i installed over the older version for all my upgrades  RE: FireFox doesn't stop pop-ups!!! by Menthix on 08-09-2004 at 05:17 PM Yes, you can. I succesfully updated 0.9.2 to 0.9.3 using that methode lately. You can even delete the whole Firefox folder afterwards, because settings are stored in a diffrend folder. C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Mozilla to be exactly. It might store some things in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Phoenix too, but i'm not sure, but i have that folder on my harddisk anyway. Back these folders up to make absolutely sure nothing can go wrong. RE: FireFox doesn't stop pop-ups!!! by bach_m on 08-09-2004 at 05:27 PM

sorry for the double post but i had to bump the topic... RE: FireFox doesn't stop pop-ups!!! by Menthix on 08-10-2004 at 06:05 AM You could try to go to "Tools" > "Options" > "Advanced" and play around with smoothscrolling. Or maybe you had an extension installed that does something with scrolling (there are a few out there)? If so, check that extension's settings. If that doesn't help then un-install that extension, restart Firefox, install that extensions again, restart Firefox and try again. |
