NickRequest by Martijn. on 08-11-2004 at 05:55 PM

At request of themafia_69, I just made this little plugin:):

It sends a request to your contact for a new nickname.

Have fun:).

EDIT: Sorry for the image not working:(.

EDIT2: Just updated the file with a readme:).

Would you tell us what it does so we don't have to find out after downloading it? :^)

How does it actually work? Does the other side also needs the plugin installed? Does it asks for a confirmation or does it just changes the nick without any notice?

Again, sorry for the image not working, it explained most of the plugin:(.

Yes, it asks for confirmation and then changes your nickname, also, the confirmation boxes can be turned off if they get annoying:).

It's more an excercise for my VBScript knowledge, but I wanted to share it with all of you, especially becuase themafia_69 asked for it:P.

tip: It would be nice if you include a short manual in how to install the VBHost-plugin and how you install your plugin. Not everybody knows how to handle these things...

;)

Hmm, to be honest I expect everyone to be able to read, and the installer clearly says: "Please make sure you have the 'Scripting Host Plugin' installed, it should have been packaged together with this file. ", there's no other file in the ZIP, so I guess it should be clear8-).
RE: NickRequest by CookieRevised on 08-11-2004 at 07:11 PM

I mean a textfile "readme.txt".... not everybody is fond to run an exe strait away. Some people might want to know what is what and what does what before they run anything...

btw, and since you've packed the VBHost plugin in your package, make sure you always update whenever there is a new version of it!

yes, it is (although you've changed it's name)... But since you included it, from now on you must keep an eye on the VBHost plugin and update your package whenever there is a change....

Aks themafia_69:P, but it can be nice when you just have to press "yes" to do what people ask you, especially when you're lazy:P.
