I think I discovered a bug in Messenger Plus. I tried searching the BUG forum, and did not come accross this issue. If it has been fixed / treated already, i apologise.

I created a quicktext, with "/nick .DaAn. | (!P)" as message and "/b" as shortcut. This means, when I type "/b away right now" my nickname is set to ".DaAn. | away right now". So far so good.

However, about five minuts later my nickname becomes ".DaAn. | (!P)" without me doing anything (I was away from my computer, and someone on my contact list let me know this happened (she was kinda confused by this strange nickname ), and i checked in the event log window). I assume this is not designed behaviour

I'm using Windows XP Pro (SP2), MSN Messenger 6.2.0137 and MsgPlus 3.01.94. If any more information is required, please let me know.

The "(!P)" tag doesn't exist... Check http://msgplus.net/help_cmdtag.php to see all the tags.

According to http://www.msgplus.net/help_tutorials.php?tut=qt-parameters it does exist, though.

Ok. This is strange. I'm really sure it happend earlier this evening, but I haven't been able to reproduce the bug just yet.

Do you have any plugins or any other add-on?

Not that I'm aware of.... Messenger Plus! shows none in the preferences panel.

Have you got it set it so it goes to away mode, if you leave messenger idle for so long?

I doubt it, but this could be a problem.

It is set to go to away mode if i'm idle for 5 minutes.

It appears so, indeed. But why would the Auto-Away change my nickname from ".DaAn. | Aan't koken!" back to ".DaAn. | (!P)" in it??

I still find it kinda strange though, that I haven't been able to reproduce the bug...

Have you tried leaving it to auto-away, and seeing if that does it again? If it does, then Patchou may need to look at it...
