Hey guys,

Just recently i cant send ANYTHING over msn when i do it just get stucks a 1/3 of the way and sometimes my contacts cant even see me sending anything 8o| ! Any help on this would be appreciated!

how big are the files you are wanting to transfer ???

they range from 5kb - 5MB

how do u connect to the internet ? is it throught a router ?

coz routers and hubs can cause problems when trying to send files !!!

and i would also never send any large files over msn. as its slow

nope no router it has been working fine but since the last couple of days its just gone tits up

Any other ideas??

did u installed anything just before it started not workin ?

if not u could try switching msn server, not sure if this would help, but if u haven't don't anything before its started not workin. maybe the problem is at msn's end.

No, transfers are sent directly from you to your contact, not through the server.

It happens with ALL contacts

Hubs don't cause any problem.

It's slow sometimes, depending on how the file is sent. But there's nothing wrong in sending big files through messenger.

That's wrong. Files are sent through the server when neither you nor your contact can open a port for listening. ie: both you and your conatct are behind a router with firewall or a NAT. In this case, the files are sent through the server and this is the case when the transfer speed is slow.

Meloco: Have you tried to reinstall messenger? Can you receive files?

Yes i can recieve files but i havnt tried re-installing msn yet.

you sure u r friends arent trying to trick you?? other then that this sounds very wierd... what did u install lately that made your computer not be able to send? try uninstalling that

i have no idea otherwise i would have installed it and as i said in my first post it also stops 1/3 of the way sometimes as in freezes on transfer.
