Logon Skinning by PenguinBoy on 09-14-2004 at 11:00 PM

Hiya, i've been skinning a logon, and testing it as i go allong.

i've been using ResBuild to edit it and StyleXP to apply it.

i had been testing it as i went allong. editing the string table and all appeared fine. i applied it, tested it, still all good. so i exited style xp and resbuild, and changed to the logon screen again. All appeared fine. i left the computer for a bit and on my return i logged on, which took quite a while. once i was on. i sorted out a bit of work, to finally find that when i logged off i recieved a repeated "Parser" message 11 times, alerting me that "value creation had failed " at line 8". all i had edited from my primary template, was text and fonts. so i continued to return to the format in which the original template was aranged, but still the same errors returned. so i changed the logon screens. and to my amazement, the same messages appeared on skins i hadn't even edited and i was delivered to the same "unlock computer" screen. the only skin that works is the standard windows xp one.

it seems that style xp isn't totally updating the logon changes that i make, maybe some things only get updated on start up.... any ideas?
