can someone help the stupid imgages of my files changes to win 95 looking ones and i have win 98

idk it just changed all of a sudden lyke the e on i.e used to be lighter and smaller but now its ugly and when ever i right click-->properties--->change icon and pick the new icon it says its changed but it wont change :'( can anyone help

i know its really pissing me off i restarted lyke 5 times ive changed the themes and back again and the dodgy images are still there the only ones i acctually want fixed are msn I.E yahoo and system machnic

i recognized this problem when i read this post, and i knew it had been posted here somwehre so i searched the forums and found this (thread about it.)

I think he means the overall look, not the solid background for the texts...

So check your Display Settings in the control panel. And make sure your resolution is correct aswell as the colordepth...

Also check your bootup parameters to make sure you don't statrup in safe-mode everytime...
