I was thinking it would be cool if Patchou could add to Plus, or someone could make a Plugin to Record a Video and or Sound Message Then Use it for a Video Convo.

Eg.

Person 1:
Hi

Person 2 Auto Message:
Im not here right now please accept my webcam message.

Person 2 Is would like to start sending video would you like to Accept or Decline?

You have Accepted Person 2's Video Request.

(The person recieves a message that look like it is from them right now but really their watching streaming video from a file.)

The idea (in case you didn't notice) is to allow you to record a vedeo or sound, or choose one from a file then set a filter for which contacts will be able to recieve the video or audio. When they accept it will send the Video or Sound not from the Mic or the Webcam but from a File.

I guess that would be a cool thing, but pretty sepcialised tbh.

Couldnt you just send a video file to them?

There is but i have found that it takes longer to send a file, especially a video one then to send streaming audio or video.
If Messenger sends streaming video or audio from the webcam, couldn't you just change the soruce to a file

couldn't this be done with a program like VirtualCamera, the auto-accept option enabled and a auto-reply message like "Hi, I'm not here at the moment, please look at my webcam by clicking on the icon near my name" or something like that...
I theory the request would be accepted, VirtualCamera would play the video and your contact would see it...
I don't know if this would work because i haven't installed virtualCamera on this computer.
And i don't know how you could add sound to the video..
