hiya does anyone have an answer 2 this?  we had homenetworking but have changed over to a router and are migrating from aol 2 pipex but when the router is on messenger will not sign in  does anyone have an answe plzzzz

do u have a firewall on the router, is it blocking the msn messenger port (not sure what it is), or is there some proxy you have to configure

not sure about the proxy (could it be configured?) but i do no who put the router on said there was a small firewall on the router  what can be done about it?      thanks

type in the address of your router into the browser, (look in the instruction manual to find out), there will probably be a username and password you must enter, then use that to disable the firewall, if msn works, you can then get round to allowing the msn port access (which i tihnk is 4896)
