Speak it! beta by Yousef on 09-28-2004 at 07:28 PM

This version is for testing purposes only

Hi again,
I was busy developing a little speech plugin, but after a while I found out one already existed (RDMSpeech) :p Then I decided to make mine a little more advanced...
It allows you to block voice messages from specified contacts, have custom voices for contacts, set a custom speak rate, voice alerts/notifications (on new email, etc.) all configurable in a nice config window :)

I'd like you guys to test it a bit if you want to :)

requirements: probably XP or some microsoft speech things, didn't have a look yet...

It works for me. Although i rekon that you shouldnt put the (8)'s in the text, it looks dumb if your contact cant hear it :P

Then your contact might realise he's missing a plugin...

Tried the settings too?

just tested the notfy me when contact changes name.
And it works a charm. I Dont know any-one else with the plugin installed to test it properly though.

Fukafly it's most likely a conflict with the theme you are using, either it is poorly developed or the software is buggy :).

RE: Speak it! beta by TGG on 10-02-2004 at 10:37 AM

Very nice. Works fine for me.

I don't know what you're using for the speech, but if it's SAPI 5.1, feel free to copy/hotlink the installer at http://rdmsoft.com/sapi51.msi . :)
