As of 8:00pm (BST) i can't send messages out to anyone. They bounce back with the message:

Also some people seem to be signing in and out every couple of seconds.

Is this a problem my side, or is everyone experiencing this (the MSN server experiencing problems? - i checked on the MSN server status and they said its all running and stable).

Let me know ASAP because i'm getting quite concerned.

A lot of users are currently reporting problems with sending messages over MSN Messenger. It appears to be a Microsoft problem which we cannot fix. Usually, these problems are solved without you having to do anything, just be patient

Maybe people are signing out and in to be annoying... not sure though... ^^

I keep getting disconected. And when i conect it takes agers to get the online contacts

I'm getting that too as well. I think everyone's experiencing problems

same here its takeing me like 5 mins just to sign in when it usally takes less then 1 what the hell is going on

This happens to me...Also look at the screenshot...It is acting wierd..I get disconnected every like 3 min and it reconnects...

I'm getting a problem, when I speak, no-one can see what I write or anything, and then after about 10 minutes, it says 'The Message has not been sent' or whatever.

bah its not just you. i've already uninstalled speedy msn (which i installed 5 minutes earlier ) and disabled messenger discovery which  i thought could be a problem but its not so its just the service. it takes me like 2 minutes to sign in and another 2 minutes to retreive my list.

Hmm when I signin everyone, i mean EVERYONE, is offline, then I get like 25+ messages sayint blah blah blah has just signed in..Is that normal?

It's not normal, but that's just because MSN is having problems... it takes forever to get your contact list up, and when it does, they 'sign in' all at once.

Now, I'm having problems as well... *sigh*

msn is acting very slow, it's taking me about 3 minutes to sign in now!

Everything is okay

OMG..this is soo OMG.. i didnt knew what happened so i logged in for the first time in like 4 hours.. and i noticed like every 5seconds someone was geting online.. THAT WAS ANNOYING!!!

I CANT chat to noone.. i get no answer and some of them i recieve a message right after i click enter that it couldnt be delivered!!

Yes lots of people signing in and out, like together so my right hand side is full of toasts, so bloody annoying but I haven't been signed out once while this was going on.

I'm trying to sign in to windows messenger, its a problem with the servers i'm sure, maybe they're getting overloaded with crap again or something??  There is definitely something wrong with msn and windows messenger at the moment, its seriously messed up.

It usually takes me 30 secs max to sign in, now it takes over 2 minutes, and the contact list doesn't load properly for absolutey ages, and I can't even speak to anyone at all. 


The exact same things happens to me in window messenger aswell

When i signed in with Gilly messenger it took agers on the authentication part. And i couldnt sent any messages it said the contact was offline, exept some times they wernt

it's probably something with Microsoft's .NET framework, I'm having problems getting on Xbox LIVE aswell

Summarizing:
We know that there is a problem, but we also know it cannot be fixed by anything we do. It's a server side issue, and the replies made in this topic are not helping in any way (it's getting spammy).

Therefore: just wait until the problems are resolved, nothing more you can do
