Im making a new website soon with skins, addons etc. for MSN Messenger and ive made the first mock-up of the banner so here it is

What do you think?

seeing as some of you think its ugly then suggest improvements or if you are feeling really bored/generous/artistic you can make me a banner

If you used Harlow (I think that's what it's called), that might work.

The colors of the text are kinda dull and depressing... shouldn't a pimp banner have bright colors and "bling"?

To be more descriptive : I liked the first ones font better then that new garbage they showed you. However you should add some colour to the picture and your MSN guy just doesnt have the bling bling. However its very nice.

Thanks to the dodgy noob called pimpmymsn for reminding me about this idea i once had, it is now being woken up from the death that it once suffered. i am posting asking for people to help with the site (admins, mods etc,).
post saying if you want to be part of the staff and why you deserve to be (beware if i dont trust you then u have no chance)
also apart from admins and mods i need other people like msn skinners etc. that can also help with the sites content.

so... anyone interested??

Hmm, my suggestion.. do NOT drop the msn guy! in almost every banner related to msn messenger, there is a sort of.. a logo.. a representation... so perhaps if you pute him back in the picture, added a huge diamond necklace, and perhaps some jewels.. then you could create the image you are looking for? The font is fine i belive and i have a suggestion for you. Perhaps (I really dont know).. but perhaps you could hold a -sort-of- Competition, to see who creates the most artistic and representive banner? Then maybe you could get some ideas from them, or maybe represent their banner and give them credit for it? Anyway; i dont know, this is just a few suggestions i came up with reading through this, so NO flaming! Everybody hates a flamer.

My msn messenger is already pimp i dont need a website to tell me that  jk it sounds awesome but all of us here at the forums prolly already have the pimpest msn out of all our personal freinds so u should expand ur news to unrelated messenger forums that way nOObs can learn and i dont have to explain things to everybody
because thats wat im doing now ppl just dont take the time to go to sites like this to learn so if anybody has a question i can send there ass to ur site

hey I'd like to be a mod or admin or newsposter whatever on PimpMyMSN. I've made a skin or two aswell and helped produce SpeedyMSN 2

ive made a fireworks mock-up of the site so here it is

I like the glass type look at the colours - I hate the font you used for the logo, "Menu", and "Welcome".

It doesn't look very professional IMHO

Im fairly good at skinning and Im always willing to help people with their skin projects, Im also developing themeMSN. Although I havnt been very active on msgplus forums, Im a newsposter (and generally moderate the site) on messenger-skins.net, and I help with questions that people have about skinning on both messenger-skins.net and the mess.be forum.

I would be happy to help as moderator or something similar.

The layout looks really cool, can't wait til it's finished.. and btw i prefered the 1st two logo's. I decided to have a go aswell as i was bored. So here it is.

I like it! only problem is, it seems too simple... you could try adding some other stuff to it.

abz2k4 i actually like ur attempt above. do u have the psd or whatever the equivalent filetype is for your graphics program so i can edit it to my liking

My try: very simple one it uses one of the combination of colours i love

I deleted the Fireworks PNG just after making it because i thought it would be of no use, but now i've recreated it for you as best i could using the jpg file. Here you go...

i did some colorising
i also decided to drop the pimps coz i want my site to be less pimpy and more msn-ish

thats looking pretty good. The side looks a bit bare though..
