SmartDraw looks nice: http://www.smartdraw.com/products/smartdraw/index.htm
It can do electrical diagrams like showed here

Crocodile Clips is a very simple to use and good program, used in gcse's by people afaik,

if im not wrong, ms visio also allows you to do that, though you have to buy it

Visio can do electrical diagrams also, but it's to expensive and complicated for just electrical things i think.

Microsoft Visio - Starting at $199
SmartDraw - Starting at $69
Crocodile  Clips (now called Crocodile Physics) starting at about $350 to $400

Crocodile Physics has a 1-5 users license, which is aimed at schools. You may be able to find an older version of Crocodile Clips cheaper or even free perhaps. Or get it in a less legal way.

ill just ask my school to buy it.
They give us stuff like pro desktop and office with their multi user liscences

I have prodesktop 2000i² from my school, all you have to do is go into a shop with a school's letter head and your parents and you get a discount on programs that the school has a license to.

my school gives us the cd to take home for free.

We have to pay £5. but a lot of people are just lending it around or something.. not me though, thats just morally wrong and shouldn't be done..

its not illegal, its some special educational license
