Heyas!

I am working on a perl backed project (which will be compiled and everyone can run) it's a very cool idea IMO, it will check each 30 second or 1 and 5 minutes! It'll check the RSS feed for the shoutbox, checks if there is an update, Pops a balloon to say, that.. There is a new shout!

So i really wish it could be there

If you want to read the shoutbox, you go to http://shoutbox.menthix.net/shoutbox.php. I don't want people using data from these forums in dodgy ways, and I don't want to have to worry about bugs and security issues in some backend script.

Or just work with DZ to require some sort of authentication script.

You know what? While we're at it, why don't we designa  script that will cause your computer to phycically clean your house and cook you dinner?

How hard is it to check the shoutbox manually? Or make a php or vb program that refreshes every X secconds
