helo.
i have recently had to re-install both msn messenger and naturally, msgr + but since doing so, i have encountered some problems which i have never had before !
the first one involves the text itself ...
when i try to change the font/size of the text, there are question marks eg. "???" where the font types/sizes etc. should be. i am then unable to change either as i have "not selected a recognisable font", or "the size isnt inbetween 8-15"
i have re-installed both msn and messenger but the problem stays the same 
i hope someone can help - i quite like my font colours and types. thanks in advance for any help.

umm, when i am in a conversation window, i click on "fonts" (as i normally do) and the above problems are happening. i have tried going to tools >> options >> messages >> fonts but i get the same result.

Which is one font that this happened with?
Which version of MSN Messenger and Messenger Plus! are you using?

in place of ALL of the fonts is "???" and i am therefore unable to select any of them.
it's is messenger plus 3.21.104 but i dont know what version of msn it is. (i thought it was help >> about MSN messenger .. but it doesnt say the version name 
)

fonts are fine in notepad and word

It looks like your going to have to reinstall the fonts. Which version of windows do you have?

i hope this isnt complicated as im not that great with computers :/
ive looked in the addons on this site but it seems to be fancy colour stuffs which isnt really what im looking for ? i need a basic fonts package right ?

Start > Run > extract /y /a /l C:\Windows\fonts c:\windows\options\cabs\WIN98_21.CAB *.fon
If this doesn't work then put in your Windows CD then do this.
Start > Run > extract /y /a /l C:\Windows\fonts D:\win98\WIN98_21.CAB *.fon
Where D is your CD Rom drive that the Windows 98 cd is in.
Just copy and paste.

tried the first one, and it didnt work
dont know where the windows cd is. prob lost i xpect. can i not download the fonts for messenger somewhere ?
it's not a problem with all the fonts on my computer (as i can type in word etc perfectly fine) just on msgr.

great, so i can get the fonts from a windows site i guess.

EDIT: no need to do that now, the new patch fixed it \o/ yay
