how can u change the background of a form to a .bmp or .gif....i dont fink other file types are supported by access....

i can insert a picture but no make it as the background...

how can ya do this?

insert a picture ;)


hehehe.... well, true, you just insert a picture and set it to the background. Just like in Windows, objects can overlap each other; All the elements/objects on a form have an z-order. So insert a picture and put all your other objects in front of it...

oh ok, i was just finding it really awkward trying to select fings coz if its ontop of the pic all dat gets selected is the picture which is da background...

You need to click on the object you whish to select. If you want to select multiple objects then hold CTRL pressed while clicking on the objects ;) (this is btw normal overall windows beheviour, eg: in Windows Explorer you can select multiple files the same way)

Anyways, if you still find it annoying that the background is selected instead of the object (by accidentally clicking it), then add the "background" picture, but resize it to a minimum, and only when you're done editing your other objects, resize it back to its proper (fullscreen) state...

ok, i know bout ctrl and stuff, but dat still selects the picture
