My forums are acting funny o.O by .blade// on 10-21-2004 at 04:26 PM
Anyone know (aka WDZ 
) why my forums display random ASCII characters @ the top and bottom of all non-admin pages? Everything works fine...it's just annoying 
It's mybb RC 4 and it installed/operates without any noticable errors....just the annoy ascii's

are u sure that your host doesn't add its own header to your pages ? so that it can add adverts or make pop ups ?

I remember that weird behaviour being reported before. I think it was related to a certain server setting (related to Linux (?)).

Well its ok yea, but its a little bit weird, the top logo is still white, and you can see the rectangle around it
Maybe there is something wrong with your site, and the banners that your host may try and put on don't support php or something and screw it up..

Yeah, it has happened before. I think the combination of MyBB's gzip page compression and some server settings caused it. Just disable gzip in the MyBB settings for a temporary fix...

The forums looks very weird here. Font is too large (yes my IE font size thing is on normal) and the menu bar is nog alligned well with the rest of the forum. See attachment
