Don't remember me? by Mike on 10-29-2004 at 12:26 PM

Hello.

Sometimes when I go to an internet cafe, i want to check the forums and maybe reply to a thread.
But i can't because there isnt an option at the login page saying "Remember me"
So usually I forget to log out and my account is logged in so anyone could go to the forums and 'play' with my account.

So can there be a "Remember me?" check box?

Thanks!

I'm not sure how that would work, since MyBB requires cookies to be set if you want to stay logged in. Maybe the cookies could be set as temporary, so they're deleted when you close your browser... :^)

I think he's wrongly assuming that there is this ability on the main log in page, this is incorrect, there is no remember me function on either the main login page or the quick login on the index page...

That's what I think as well, and is why I said "huh?" :spam:

Dude, at any good internet cafe they will clear the cookies/temp internet files before the next client logs on so there shouldn't be a whole lot to worry about.

well a lot of cyber cafes dont have programs that do stuff like that, they just have a computer that connects to the net.

And most cyber cafes dont clear internet files, they just put some program on that lets them lock the pcs whenever they want. Only the cyber cafe chains (like reliance web world in india) will have cookie clearing (actually reliance web worlds save your cookies on a profile that you can access from any web world in india, tres cool)

MS Internet Explorer can block out cookies alltogether
which maybe the option that internet cafe's are running
