This error means there is a problem with the connection between your computer and the MSN server. Try uninstalling MSN Messenger, rebooting, downloading a fresh copy from http://messenger.msn.com and installing this. Make sure you don't have any patches, add-ons or somethings else for MSN Messenger installed or running.

You can also check this if it doesn't seem to work: http://shoutbox.menthix.net/showthread.php?tid=20295

If you can't find the things you're looking for, then you proberly shouldn't use MSN Messenger 7 beta at all. Becoming a beta tester just so you could use the beta isn't a valid and good reason.

Then apply for the beta testing program. You're not helping MS by spreading something you aren't allow to have. (see the first beta build, and all the problems and delays it caused because it was leaked/spread. And also the speeded up release of 6.x (can't remember) because it was leaked, and because of that it wasn't fully tested and contained major security bugs.)

Q: How can I join the MSN Messenger Beta?

A: For those that are not yet a beta tester and enjoying this chat. You can nominate yourself by going to beta.microsoft.com and logging in with your passport. Then type the guestID of MSNBeta (Case sensitive), click on survey and fill out the nomination survey. We will then review it and accept.
