If you are using Custom names for contacts you can change the colours that will display much like you would change your own name. But in the rename contact window put like

code:
(028,103,149)
in front of their name and it will show differently.

If you don't have custom names enabled you would need your contact to have colour in their name for it to work.

I mean to make my name show in color

Seeing how the /nick command is temporarily unavailable in this beta you are going to have to use for instance MSN Messenger 6.2 or Windows Messenger to change your name using the /nick Command then it will be changed in MSN Messenger 7.

do tags work in your name yet? like putting the !WAT tag in your name?

Technically No because the /nick command doesn't work. When you press Enter Plus! will processes the text first then it is sent through MSN Messenger so I don't think you could just put (!WAT) in your name and expect it to work.

to have a colored name you can do the following:

In an MSN convo or word, or notepad or anywhere you can type this and copy and paste it as ur name:
·$4<insert name here>
this will make your name appear like this
<insert name here>
