RegEdit and Processes by user27089 on 11-18-2004 at 08:06 AM

Whenever I try to open RegEdit by going to Start > Run and typing in RegEdit, it won't open at all... Does anybody know what my problem is?

Also, when I press alt+ctrl+delete, and go to processes, its just a grey blank space, i'm not sure whats wrong... :S

Run a Virus Scan if you have one installed!

It sounds like your machines been well and trully infected.  I'm quite sad to say it but maybes a format would be best if you can afford to lose data on the machine.

Try to run McAfee stinger. It removes a lot of 'populair' virusses.

http://us.mcafee.com/virusInfo/default.asp?id=stinger

And you could try Ad-Aware. http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10045910.html?p...=dlpage&tag=button

that wont solve the problem, cause if its a virus, it has most likely infected some other files, so you might just end up copying the file onto the "backups" so when you format , then reinstall everything, you'll just hvae the virus back.
can also try http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
see if that finds anything
