Auto Sign in by Crack_Jack on 11-28-2004 at 06:19 PM

Can someone help me with the automatic sign in feature in MSN Messenger 6.1?

Right now what it does is that whenever I open the Messenger, a button says "Sign in as....".
When I click it, I sign in, without my password.

I want it to ask me for my password always. What do I do?
Please help.

OS: XP Pro

You have to go, in the main Messenger window, on "File" -> "Sign in..." -> then enter your e-mail adress and password and leave the "Remember my Name and Password on this computer" box unchecked. Then click on OK. The next time you want to sign in, the window will come up again and ask for your password, just make sure you don't check the "Remember my...." box. :)

(just for Win98)

I would also recommend upgrading to MSN 6.2 ;)

Andray that won't work properly.
What will work is
Start > run > type in: control userpasswords2 (press enter) go to advanced tab > click password management button > select the passport you don't want in the MSN login list (in this case your own) and click delete. Then restart MSN messenger
