My DSL internet connection is HORRIBLY slow for no reason :| by .blade// on 12-01-2004 at 02:42 AM

I was playing Halo 2 when things started to lag. I changed rooms as I thought it might be the game room I was in, it continued. I did a test at DSL Reports (3 times) and it came up as about 35 kbps down and 32 kpbs up (My connection should be 2.5 mbps down and 700 kbps up). Anyw ideas? :-/

I've tried with and without my router and I've tried releasing/renewing my IP (I'll call my ISP [Telus]) tomorrow.

ISP: Telus
Suggested download speed: 2.5 mbps (2500 kbps)
Suggested upload speed: 700 kbps
Actual dowload speed (today): 35 kbps - 50 kbps
Actual upload speed (today): 32 kbps - 42 kbps

Try to pull out the power cable to the DSL modem and reset it.

Maby it is the provider, try calling them! And ask them if there is a problem with the connecktion. (It has happen to my DSL too)!
