Neowin posted about the future of Wave 11: http://www.neowin.net/comments.php?category=main&id=26092 ;). Read it and look @ the screen shots. Some things ripped from outlook :P.

hmm... I like the circle feature, and the inproved client window, but I also think there are some parts that look really bunched together...

That looks really good, looks better than MSN 7 8-) then again, what doesn't?

If only MSN7 could look like that now... (hint to skinners).
And Hotmail could really do with a facelift: the current blue theme is getting boring.

Well.. you can also read it @ mess.be (see screenshot 1). I really like the white Hotmail. It looks far more easy and accessable (it also looks more like gmail :dodgy:). I think that the MSN Messenger is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too ugly and crappy. I like the way my (patched) MSN 7 looks like (second screenie)

the article has been removed from neowin. My quess is that microsoft has asked this to be removed just like they did with msn7 screenshots when they first came out ;)

RE: Future of MSN Messenger/Hotmail in Wave 11 by CookieRevised on 12-07-2004 at 09:54 PM

indeed...

WAY too much bloated.... (and I though Messenger 7 was bad...)

And sure, it looks good. But what's the purpose of something which looks good, but is a pain in the beep to use?

The contactlist is getting more and more bloated. Sure it looks nice and will work nice if you have 5 contacts in your contactlist.

People who have more then that will find them scrolling all the time and will be realy lost in the huge massive graphical contactlist....
(before we know it, each contact is listed on another page with all there blogs, pictures and stuff in your contactlist and we must click next next next next next next next next...... (although some people wont have a problem with that :dodgy:))

blah, just my rant about how the important thing seems to be amaze people with graphical content instead of userinterface.....

Remember, everything is still a rumour :D

ripped? How do you "rip" something which you made yourself? Outlook is also from Microsoft, they have every right to make their applications look the same. In fact it is even very handy for people who are not used to use a PC so they will reconize features faster. that's called a consistant and coherent layout (or something)...

^ I mean RIP as in taken from outlook.

RE: Future of MSN Messenger/Hotmail in Wave 11 by RaceProUK on 05-13-2005 at 10:47 PM

First, don't revive a thread this old, make a new one!
Second, head over to Messenger Blog or Mess.be: they have news articles about it.

:| totally agree on that point, that's actully the thing that bothers me the most.. I love the display pictures option on the contact list.. but damn ma when u got about 30 ppl online, u have to put the smallest pics and that isnt so nice.. especially when u wanna check who's online.. it takes forever to scroll down..
