realvnc by megamuff on 12-12-2004 at 05:04 PM

as most of you should know, realvnc is the first and best remote control program ever created for computers. but unfortunately, as i have recently noticed, the web site became a crappy pay thing. so i want to know if anybody knows, if there was a version released after

vnc-4.0b5-x86_win32.zip

that was free, before they decided it should be payed for.. i would like to make that last free version available on my web site, so that people can enjoy what realvnc used to be..

their current chopped down free version is rediculous..

I'm not sure if it is completely legal to be honest because of certain laws... If you want to host it, then do it out of your own free will to be honest....

what does the program actually do?

Its actually some short of desktop-sharing program. :S
You run the server in computer A then connect to the server with the computer B from the client and you can see computer's A  screen is currently showing.
If you allowed from the server, you can control the mouse and keyboard.

all versions that came out before they wanted money, were open source. the license agreement for that okays distribution, and even editing.

so nobody have a later version than 4.0 beta 5 that came out before they wanted money?
