hey i have a friend who wants to password protect certain folders (files if not but i presume folders wud be easiest for her) she's using XP... is there any built in feature of xp that will allow password protecting of certain folders... or will a seperate application be required (i know u can get these but it wud be easier if this wasnt required).. if it's the cas4e that they r required... does anyone have any suggestions?

i would like to be able to do the same thing on my windows 2000 pro. :P so i also look foreward to replies in this thread. ;)

This program does it, it's not free...but it's the best, imo http://www.winability.com/folderguard/

I'll try this program Anubis suggested, but is there any other way in windows 98 to do this ?

The Program Anubis Suggested (Folder Guard) Is Good. But Can SomeOne Tell Me How I Can Pasword Lock Files On A Cd-R Without Zipping them So That I Can Only Directly Enter A Password To Access Them But Will Restrict Other Ppl From Accessing Them.
