iPod mini vs. 4G 20GB iPod by FrozernFire on 12-19-2004 at 04:23 AM

im saving up for either one of those, but i can't decide. iPod mini is cheaper, smaller but less space. full sized iPod has more space, but larger and more expensive. so in your opinion, which one should i get, considering that i have 3.43GB of music now but may be adding more songs?
pls don't spam this thread

Well, If I were you I would get the full sized ipod.  The ipod mini is smaller but the 20G still fits in my pocket fine.  Plus just for like $50 more you get 4000 more songs.  And I like the white color anyway.  Hope my opinion helps. :D

I would go for the iPod 20Gb to be honest, it looks much better and holds more songs :).

I had the same doubt. The only difference is that I already had 25Gb (about 3000 songs, btw, I wouldn't accept any song lower than 192 in bitrate, dunno about you :P).

iPod 4G is very good and has great functionality (you gotta get used to it, first, anyway). The battery is still a weak point (only 10 hours of music), but it's the best choice if you have the cash for it.

i personally think the ipod mini is ugly and dosnt have enough room.
i have a 4g 20gb ipod and i love it, my last ipod was a 3g 20gb and i loved that one too. i kinda like the feeling of the clicking in the clickwheel.

(i was stupid enough to have my 3g stolen :@)

Get an iPod from HP.

Apples warranty on their iPods is 3 months and you can only call in for tech support once after that they will bill you for support. The iPod from HP has a 1 year manufacturers warranty. 24/7 Technical support at 1-888-474-6836, 1 year return to depot. (Meaning they will repair it for a year). A 1 year extended warranty for 59.99 covers the same above for an extra year.

Out Of Warranty - $99 Battery replacement then the new battery is covered for 90days.

$250 Misuse and Abuse cost - where you drop it you pay that amount for a new one.

All info is taken from HP.com and other sources :)

HP iPods are only sold in the US and Canada, if you live outside of Canada or the Continental US you need to send your iPod to someone in Canada or Continental US for servicing
