hey every1, which brand of graphics card would you prefer? the ATI Radeon range of cards? or the Nvidia  range of cards???

Personally, I prefer ATi Radeon graphics cards... much nicer and smoother.

yes same. i believe there much  more stable card. all thou there 9200 range was released without a coooling fan.. makin them very easyly overheater, im presetly running ATi Radeon 9200

i cant really say as i have only ever used nVidia GeForce cards but i have never had any problems and they run smooth enough for me (Y)

I'm running Video Card: ATi Radeon 9000, and its awesome, I might get a better one soon though when I get some more stuff for my computer like upgrade my RAM.. then again.. I may aswell just wait and put it in the pc I'm building

:| that card is insane, but as you can see, I'm a 14 year old, and don't have the worlds greatest ever budget tbh :p... I will save up and try and get something like that though :)..

It depends on certain things. Doom 3 supposedly runs better on nVidia cards and Half-Life 2 runs better on ATI Radeons. nVidia cards are technically superior on paper though.

Next year I am planning on building a new computer, and will probably choose an nVidia card, so that in future I can upgrade to having 2x nVidia cards in SLI :P

well then being on a lower budget.. i advise on something more the like 9600 - 9800 range

Yeah, I'll try some of them.. but will I need to get anything else for my pc?? Or is it just the matter of getting the graphics card installing in and the drivers and stuff????

hmm yeh basically.. i spose.  but the better ur system, the better it will handle the grapics card. post some simple stats for your pc. and i will try and advise on upgrades

I like nvidia gforce cause thats the only one i've seen. But now a days i heard more no of games recommend ati than nvidia.

my laptop has a ATI..(it's pretty :dodgy: [32 mb] but anyway) it sucks ...a lot of crashes due to it etc...:S...i love nvidia although i was kinda fooled with this one i've got FX5200(256 mb) it's good allright but it also crashes[gonna do a thread for that it tech talk] and it's not that GOOD...
