tech. question, D-link routers by megamuff on 01-02-2005 at 02:24 AM

anyone have experience with D-Link routers? i want to add one of my computers to the DMZ, but i also would like to have ONE of the ports excluded from this and instead forewarded to a different computer... any idea how?

As far as I know it isn't possible because when a PC is set to being DMZ all inbound traffic is sent to the specific PC. The option you have is to forward the port to a different IP and see if it works but tbh I don't think it will.

You could try putting up a DMZ and a software firewall on the PC you don't want in the DMZ.

gee thanks i would never have thought of that 8-)

you forget that it is LIMITED. you cant put 900 forewards there, i think the max is around 8.
