every time my ps2 is on for about 10 mins the over heat light starts flashing the fan is running ok and the vents are not blocked so what could it be any ideas RE: Ps2 keeps over heating by GiantSpider on 01-03-2005 at 01:13 PM I rekon that the fan aint running ok & the vents are blocked. They seem the only logical explanations. RE: Ps2 keeps over heating by bmtaylor on 01-03-2005 at 01:43 PM
Dust? RE: Ps2 keeps over heating by user35870 on 01-03-2005 at 01:45 PM
i will try it just for the info mines the sliver one and its a year old RE: Ps2 keeps over heating by GiantSpider on 01-03-2005 at 01:53 PM Yeah. Dust is what caused my first edition to fuck up. But I had a five year warranty. RE: Ps2 keeps over heating by Titty on 01-03-2005 at 05:43 PM
Since we're all talking about the Playstation 2, I was wondering what you guys thought about the redesigned Playstation 2 that came out this year. RE: Ps2 keeps over heating by Vilkku on 01-03-2005 at 06:35 PM If I decided to buy a PS2 I would buy that one, but I will never buy a PS2 (no consoles for me ). quote: you should have seen the dust that came out of the back it seems to have worked but i will leave it on for awhile and see thanks anyway RE: Ps2 keeps over heating by spokes on 01-03-2005 at 08:20 PM does that work?!, does it make it quieter? i might try it RE: Ps2 keeps over heating by tomfletcherman on 01-03-2005 at 08:24 PM There's an overheat light? My mum runs the hoover over all the vents and fans when she cleans the house and our ps2 is in great nick, but you should do it on a low suction setting its pretty safe. RE: Ps2 keeps over heating by spokes on 01-03-2005 at 08:29 PM
i dunno how to change the suction its got a thing on the bottom tho, with like long carpet, medium carpet, and short carpet RE: RE: Ps2 keeps over heating by bmtaylor on 01-03-2005 at 08:57 PM
quote:I've been looking at these for a while, if only for the fact that it has a built-in RJ45 connector for the online gaming. I know somewhere that offers trade in on a PS2 for £73 and sells them second hand for £95 or new for £98, so I could upgrade the concole and only have to pay about £25 for it, which is only slightly more than the cost of the Network Adaptor on it's own, plus it would then allow us to use the Multitap my Brother-In-Law bought us for Xmas, exceept he purchased the version that ONLY works with the 70000 series units. I guess I'm going to keep my fat PS2. RE: Ps2 keeps over heating by tomfletcherman on 01-03-2005 at 09:07 PM Crikey, I don't have a clue about hoovers, just feel which one feels the less suctiony. RE: Ps2 keeps over heating by user35870 on 01-03-2005 at 09:22 PM

RE: Ps2 keeps over heating by FrozernFire on 01-06-2005 at 01:11 PM how about putting a rubber stand at each of the corners? air can then flow underneath and your ps2 might not heat up that fast RE: Ps2 keeps over heating by user35870 on 01-06-2005 at 03:48 PM
