good block checker around by Flames on 01-07-2005 at 04:29 AM

recently, i went online and searched for block checker, seems like all of them are trash programs. but i finally came to a solution! try this program, see if it works well!

p.s. it also checks yahoo and aol instant messaging programs too

this program ACTUALLY checks users' statues correctly! i tested it out quite a few times before posting here, however, this program can't check the person if he/she has firewall installed on their pc

*-)

I doubt it works, since block checkers don't work anymore. There's a thread (sticky) about this.

block checkers do NOT work (just above this thread 8-)).

Do your contacts have enabled the option don't allow others to see my status?

Hhhmm... I tested this on an offline contact, and it correctly displayed the status. But when I tried to check the status of an online contact, it was 'busy' for a while (the icon had stuff moving around it; I can only assume it was busy searching)

I dunno about these things anymore :S

Just like the other blockcheckers, this one does not work if they have "don't allow others to see my status" enabled

We just had this discussion here http://shoutbox.menthix.net/showthread.php?tid=36435
And they still don't work.

OMG... that guy wants a donation for doing something so easy *rolls eyes*

Anyways this is basically the way they are doing it. The source code is in Visual Basic.

It sucks because I wrote it a few years ago when they protocol had the bug still.

the "moving" object means it's online, dark red object means the contact is offline
