ok so ive been thinking about getting a new hard drive and was wondering what u guys think i should get and what are ur opinions on different brand names etc.. im thinking 150 gb hard drive or more any suggestions
and can i just make my computer think i added to the current drive or will i have to have 2 seperate drives on my computer things like this i would like to know and this is the only real place i trust so0o0o0o0o hit me:)

You're better off spending the $20 or so more for the 200GB :P

What are you using it for? Because if you're using it for a high-end gaming computer you might want to step up to 10,000RPM, but only if you want to spend the money, otherwise go for a 7200RPM.

Either way, I suggest Western Digital or Maxtor. You can find a large list of HDD and the NCIX top 10 selling HDDs here:

Edit: Ya, I forgot to mention -  look at the CACHE size and avgerage seek time. You want a large CACHE and a quick seek time.

well it depends on money your have to spend !! i don't kno about others but brand news don't mean a think to me, i always just look at te specs and see which is the best.  eg for a HD i would look at the "Buffer Size", "Drive Transfer Rate", "CACHE size", "Spindle Speed" and the "Seek Time"
